Outdoor Advertising Association of America, National Center for Missing & Exploited Children join forces to help find missing child
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, along with the Sugarcreek Township Police Department, the Riverside Police Department and the Cincinnati Division of the FBI, are asking for the public’s help to locate missing child Jacob Caldwell.
August 21, 2018 marked one year since Jacob Caldwell, then 14, was last seen in Sugarcreek Township, Ohio. Law enforcement believes that Jacob witnessed a crime on Aug. 25, 2017, and he was last seen captured on surveillance in a parking lot on Aug. 21, 2017. Jacob was wearing a dark shirt, blue shorts and black shoes.

To help generate awareness for Jacob, members of the Outdoor Advertising Association of America have donated more than 10 digital billboards to display Jacob’s picture and identifying information.
“The out-of-home advertising industry regularly donates ad space to public service efforts,” said Nicole Randall, Communications Senior Director at OAAA. “At the request of local law enforcement, billboards in Dayton, Cincinnati and along the Ohio River are asking the public’s help to locate Jacob.”
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children is grateful for the generosity of OAAA and its members’ commitment to helping find missing children. Out of the more than 27,000 cases NCMEC assisted law enforcement with last year, less than one percent of those were children who simply vanished.
“We are very concerned for Jacob’s safety,” said Robert Lowery, Vice President Missing Children’s Division for NCMEC. “We know that children are found every day, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work with the out-of-home advertising community. These digital billboards will bring awareness to Jacob’s case and help in the search for answers.”
The digital billboards, donated by Lamar Advertising Company and Norton Outdoor Advertising, will display the missing child alert for four weeks.
