OSHP OVI checkpoint results in zero arrests
MOUNT ORAB – The Ohio State Highway Patrol, with assistance from the Mount Orab Police Department and the Brown County Sheriff’s Office conducted an OVI checkpoint on U.S. 68 in the Village of Mount Orab, Brown County on Aug. 9 from 9-11 p.m.
A total of 386 vehicles were checked with no vehicles being diverted for suspicion of OVI.
No drivers were determined to be under the influence or were arrested for OVI.
In addition to the actual checkpoint officers, additional officers from participating agencies conducted saturation patrols in the area before and after the checkpoint.
Federal grant money supported the OVI checkpoint and saturation patrols.
