Ohio National Guard sustainment brigade headquarters, signal company returning from overseas deployment

The Ohio Army National Guard will welcome home more than 280 soldiers from Headquarters and Special Troops Battalion, 371st Sustainment Brigade, and the 137th Signal Company after a nearly nine-month deployment in support of U.S. Central Command.

The public is invited to attend a ceremony honoring the returning soldiers Wednesday, March 20 at noon at Christian Life Center, 3489 Little York Road, Dayton 45414.

The 371st Sustainment Brigade’s missions while deployed included oversight of material and supply distribution, and expeditionary sustainment — which includes logistics, financial management, personnel services, and health service support — across the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) area of responsibility. 

This was the 371st Sustainment Brigade’s third deployment in support of CENTCOM as the theater-level sustainment brigade and primary logistics manager, following 2013-14 and 2017-18 rotations.

The 137th Signal Company installed, operated and maintained tactical internet for the 371st Sustainment Brigade, subordinate battalions and forward logistical elements to enable communications and facilitate command and control within the CENTCOM area of operations.

This was the unit’s first deployment.
