Ohio bill would allow concealed carry without a permit

Ohio lawmakers are considering a bill that would allow law-abiding citizen 21 and older to carry a concealed firearm without a permit.

The bill is known as a “constitutional carry” law and has passed in other states.

Openly carried firearms are allowed in Ohio without permits.

State Rep. Tom Brinkman (R) introduced the legislation.

Brinkman is serving his third term as state representative, after serving as a member of the Ohio House for four two-year terms from 2001-08. He represents the 27th Ohio House District, which includes portions of eastern Hamilton County.
