Keith Faber, the Republican nominee for auditor of state, has launched a website attacking Democratic nominee for Auditor of State Zack Space.
In addition to being inadvertently published days in advance, the Columbus Dispatch notes that the website repeats several brazen lies, and even contains a doctored photo of Space’s elderly father, Socrates J. Space.
Whether repeating attacks that have already been debunked, shamelessly revising his legislative record on ECOT, or doctoring images of an 88-year old Marine Corps veteran to score cheap political points, this kind of undignified behavior is beneath the vital office that Faber seeks.
The Faber “Pinocchio” website also attempts to tie Space to the Democratic leader in the U.S. House, Nancy Pelosi. The website features a grainy photo of Space leaning across Pelosi to sign a paper. Space’s campaign says it’s a fake, and Faber should apologize.
