Mount Orab man arrested in connection with Brown County Drug Task Force investigation

The Brown County Drug Task Force has arrested a suspected major drug trafficker following an investigation that resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of illegal narcotics, firearms and cash.  

On June 12, investigators arrested Paxton Wayne Crouse, 20, of Mount Orab and charged him with trafficking in cocaine, a felony of the first degree. 

As part of the investigation, members of the Brown County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant that led to the alleged seizure of a large amount of suspected cocaine, several firearms and a substantial amount of U.S. currency believed to be connected to illegal drug trafficking activities. 

Crouse was transported to the Brown County Adult Detention Center, where he remains incarcerated.  He is currently being held on a $250,000 bond pending further court proceedings. 

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office would like to extend its sincere appreciation to the officers of the Mount Orab Police Department and agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for their assistance throughout this investigation. The successful outcome of this case is a testament to the strong partnerships and cooperative efforts among local, state and federal law enforcement agencies working together to combat drug trafficking in our communities.
