McDermott woman charged with aggravated murder
Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman reports that his 911 communication center received a call Sunday, June 30 around 9:33 a.m. from a neighbor stating there had been a shooting next door. A second 911 call came in from a female allegedly claiming that she had shot her boyfriend.
According to Sheriff Thoroughman, deputies and detectives, along with emergency medical personnel, responded to the residence on Euton Road in McDermott. Upon their arrival, they found a male lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken by air to Saint Mary’s Hospital in West Virginia, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The victim was a 67-year-old man from Otway.
Arrested was Holly Euton-McGhee, 60, of McDermott. Euton-McGhee has been charged with aggravated murder, a felony of the first degree; felonious assault, a felony of the first degree; and obstructing official business, a misdemeanor of the second degree.
Sheriff Thoroughman stated that this is still an ongoing investigation that could result in more charges at a later date.
