LaRose issues statement on MEGA Act

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose released the following statement following the introduction of the Make Elections Great Again (MEGA) Act:

"Americans deserve confidence that their elections are secure and reflect the will of the people. Ohio has become a national leader in election integrity, but many states are falling short of the minimum standards. 

"The MEGA Act builds on many of the practices that make Ohio’s elections the gold standard and establishes a baseline for election standards nationwide. I’m grateful to Congressman Steil and congressional leaders for making this a priority. I urge Congress to set aside partisan blinders and pass these important and common-sense reforms."
