Home Depot in WCH donates patio garden to Chillicothe VA

On June 8, Chillicothe VA Medical Center’s Voluntary Service held an unveiling ceremony for the newly constructed Veterans Patio Garden located outside the VA Community Living Centers. VA’s Community Living Centers service as long-term housing for veterans, which are homes to many veterans.
The Home Depot in Washington Court House reached out to the Chillicothe VA about this project, which includes new patio furniture, plants and flowers creating a peaceful atmosphere for veterans and their families.
Home Depot donated all the material, totaling $8,200, and allowed their staff the time to volunteer to complete this project. Some of the employees were veterans themselves, and several traveled from different locations in Ohio to volunteer on their own time.
The Chillicothe VA would like to give a big thanks to Home Depot and Voluntary Service for establishing a partnership in honor of our nation’s heroes.
