Hoagland honors Ohio Military Hall of Fame inductees

State Senator Frank Hoagland (R-Mingo Junction) welcomed veterans to the statehouse for the 19th annual induction ceremony of the Ohio Military Hall of Fame, Valor Class of 2018.
"It is an honor to be among these proud, courageous and brave men and women who do not seek this type of recognition or acknowledgement for their service," Hoagland said. "Their heroic actions in serving this nation make them more than deserving of these medals of honor, and I’m humbled to be among my Ohio veteran family today."

Thirty distinguished veterans were honored for their exceptional accomplishments during this year's induction ceremony, including representatives from the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Marine Corps who served during the conflicts in WWII, Korea, Vietnam and the Middle East. There were seven posthumous awards presented.
The Ohio Military Hall of Fame for Valor was established in 2000 to recognize Ohio servicemen and women who were decorated for heroism while in combat situations.

Sen. Hoagland represents the 30th District in the Ohio Senate, which encompasses Belmont, Carroll, Harrison, Jefferson, Meigs, Monroe, Noble and Washington counties as well as portions of Athens and Vinton counties.
