The following is the Hillsboro Police Report for Aug. 28-Sept. 1.

Aug. 28 

Anthony Conley, 22, of Leesburg was cited for driving under suspension and unsafe vehicle. 

Aug. 29

On Aug. 29 at approximately 5:21 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department responded to the area of East Walnut Street and South High Street for a report of a two-car crash. Upon arrival, Constance Storer, 76, of Hillsboro was traveling northbound on South High Street nearing the intersection of East Walnut Street. Lillian Hainline, 20, of Hillsboro was stopped at the red light on West Walnut Street facing east at the intersection. When the traffic signal for east and westbound traffic on Walnut Street turned green and Hainline began to accelerate to cross over South High Street onto East Walnut Street, Storer allegedly failed to stop at the red traffic signal and struck Hainline on the front passenger side door. No injuries were reported on scene. Storer was cited for obeying traffic control devices. 

On Aug. 29 at approximately 2:19 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department responded to North High Street near Harry Sauner Road for a report of a two-car crash. Upon arrival, Kimberly Wagoner, 56, of Hillsboro and John Malone, 66, of Hillsboro were both traveling northbound on North High Street at the intersection of Harry Sauner Road. Both vehicles were in the left turn lane. Malone was behind Wagoner when Wagoner started to reverse and travel backward. As a result, Wagoner allegedly backed into and struck Malone. No injuries were reported on scene. Wagoner was cited for improper backing. 

Aug. 30

On Aug. 30 at approximately 9:07 a.m., the Hillsboro Police Department responded to the 300 block of North High Street for a report of a two-car crash. Upon arrival, Diane Luman, 69, of Hillsboro was traveling southbound on North High Street approaching the entrance to a business. Susan Call, 65, of Peebles was traveling northbound on North High Street at the intersection of North Street. It is alleged Luman made a left-hand turn in a business on High Street in the path of Call, causing Call to strike Luman, causing minor damage to both vehicles. No injuries were reported on scene. Luman was cited for right of way when turning left. 

On Aug. 30 at approximately 9:37 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department responded to the area of North High Street and Diamond Drive for a report of a two-car crash. Upon arrival, Marsha Oyer, 56, of Hillsboro was traveling southbound on North High Street near Diamond Drive while Gatlynn Sonner, 18, of Hillsboro was exiting Diamond Drive to travel southbound on North High Street. Sonner allegedly pulled out in front of Oyer, causing Oyer to strike Sonner’s front right fender area. No injuries were reported on scene. Sonner was cited for right of way at through highways. 

Sept. 1

Carson Grooms, 18, of Hillsboro was cited for driving under suspension.

David Bailey, 41, of Leesburg was cited for driving under suspension.
