Hillsboro Police Report
The following is the Hillsboro Police Report for July 31-Aug. 5.
On Thursday, July 31, the Hillsboro Police Dept. investigated a crash at the intersection of North East Street and Beech Street. Joseph Ruth of Hillsboro was traveling northbound on North East Street and was proceeding north after the vehicle on his immediate right had completed its turn at the four-way intersection. Macy Leatherwood of Hillsboro was westbound on Beech and allegedly failed to yield the right of way and stuck the vehicle operated by Ruth, which received disabling damage. Minor damage was received to the Leatherwood vehicle. No injuries were reported at the time of the crash. Leatherwood was cited for failure to yield.
Tracey Beatty, 43, of Hillsboro, was arrested for menacing.
Chad Burgess, 45 of Hillsboro, was arrested on a bench warrant.
Patrick Taylor, 25 of Blanchester, was arrested on a bench warrant.
On Aug. 5 at approximately 8:11 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a call from the Highland County Sheriff's Office in reference to an unresponsive male in the 500 block of Harry Sauner Road. Officers and Paint Creek EMS arrived on scene. A report was taken at the scene, and the male refused medical treatment.
Elishia Current, 26, of Hillsboro was arrested for two counts of child endangerment and one count of felonious assault.
William Marshall, 26, of Hillsboro was arrested for two counts of child endangerment and one count of felonious assault.
