The following is the Hillsboro Police Report for Aug. 1.
On Aug. 1, the Hillsboro Police Department received a call of a missing vehicle. It was found the boyfriend of the vehicle owner allegedly did not have a valid driver’s license and was not to use or take the vehicle. When the victim awoke, she discovered both her boyfriend and her vehicle missing. The boyfriend was identified as Matthew Barger, 33, of Winchester, and he was allegedly later located operating the vehicle. Barger was placed under arrest and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Citations issued:
Amber Clark of Chillicothe was cited for speed.
David Hunt of Peebles was cited for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.
