On Aug. 6, Rite Aid reported they had a male in the store that took a liter bottle of alcohol off the store shelf and entered the store bathroom. Upon investigation, it was found the male had removed the security tag from the bottle. Darrell Ertel, 33, of Winchester was arrested for theft, possession of criminal tools and bench warrant.
On Aug. 9, James Schmidtgesling of Hillsboro reported that someone had taken his 1991 Chevrolet van while it was parked at CM Recycling Center.
The department received a call of a male person being assaulted on Taylor Drive. Michael Binegar, 32, of Hillsboro was arrested for assault and for an outstanding bench warrant.
On Aug. 10, Michele Carson of Wilmington advised her 2008 Ford was parked in the 200 block of West Main Street and a hit/skip vehicle struck the left rear door and left the scene.
Arrests and Citations:
Kristina Dunn, 25, of Hillsboro, obstructing official business and forged prescription.
Joseph Wilson of Hillsboro, driving under suspension.
