On Aug. 4 at approximately 10:20 a.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a call referring to domestic violence in the 400 block of South Elm St. After investigation of the complaint, Collin Ward Rothwell, 19, of Hillsboro was arrested for domestic violence.
At approximately 10:41 a.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a call referring to a two-car accident in the 300 block of Te Mar Way. Upon arrival, it was found that Judith A. Storts of Hillsboro, driving a 2005 Jeep, was parked along the road. She backed up to pull onto the street and backed into a 1992 Ford Taurus owned by David Elam of Hillsboro. No one was hurt.
