On Saturday, Aug. 11, the Highland County Firefighters Association sponsored a training session with the Miami Valley Hospital's Mobile Education Lab (MEL) at the Hillsboro Fire Station.

All area departments were invited to attend the session on Difficult Airway Management.

The Mobile Education Lab has two computer-controlled patient simulators which provide training opportunities for all EMTs – from basic to paramedic – in order to improve their skills.

This session focused on airway management, intubation, and other airway devices.

Members from Hillsboro, Brush Creek and Paint Creek fire departments were in attendance for the training session.
