Highland County Sheriff’s Report
These incidents have been reported by the Highland County Sheriff's Office.
Sept. 15
A deputy responded to the 11000 block of Hammond Road after a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, one of the parties had left the scene. This incident remains under investigation.
A deputy responded to the 10000 block of Venetian Way to a report of a juvenile refusing to leave with their parent. After investigation, the child left with the parent without further issue.
A resident of the 6800 block of Chimney Rock Corner reported a trespassing complaint.
A resident of the 5700 block of Franklin Road reported a domestic dispute. After investigation, it was determined to have been a verbal altercation, parties separated, no charges were pursued.
Sept. 16
A deputy responded to the 7700 block of state Route 73 after a report of a storage unit broken into, items were taken. This incident remains under investigation.
A resident of the 14000 block of Brier Hill Road reported several trees cut down on their property. This incident remains under investigation.
Sept. 17
A deputy responded to the 11000 block of Cathy Court after a report of an unruly juvenile. Charges are pending further investigation.
