Highland County Sheriff's Report
These incidents have been reported by the Highland County Sheriff's Office.
Sept. 7
A deputy responded to a business in New Market Twp. after a report of an elderly male in the parking lot that seemed confused. After investigation, the male was identified through a medic alert bracelet to be from the Columbus area. Family was contacted and made arrangements to pick up the male.
Sept. 9
Deputies responded to E. Main St. Mowrystown to a report of a verbal altercation. After investigation, it was determined that the altercation was over the suspected theft of cash. Ronnie J. Walls, 20 of Mowrystown, was arrested and charged with theft.
