Hamilton Post investigating 2-vehicle fatal crash involving semi truck

The Hamilton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday, May 16 at approximately 9:05 p.m. The crash occurred on Interstate 75 near mile post 12 in the Village of Lockland, Hamilton County.

Preliminary investigation revealed a 2013 Acura TL was traveling southbound on Interstate 75 and struck the rear of a 2013 Volvo tractor and trailer combination who was also southbound on Interstate 75. A female occupant of the Acura TL was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased by the Hamilton County Coroner.

A male occupant of the Acura TL was transported to Bethesda North Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Volvo tractor was not injured.

The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Evendale Police Department, Sharonville Fire and EMS, Lockland Fire and EMS, Hamilton County Sheriffs Office, Glendale Police Department, Reading Police Department and the Ohio Department of Transportation.

The accident remains under investigation.
