January 11th, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 12:45 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Spring Street near North 6th Street. The driver was advised to move the vehicle from prohibited parking.

At 3:22 A.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of a 911-transfer near Community Markets reporting an assault. Two females were transported to the Greenfield Adena ER.

At 9:48 A.M., a caller requested a welfare check on a resident in the 700 block of South 2nd Street. The resident checked ok.

At 12:00 P.M., a caller requested a welfare check on residents in the 1000 block of South 5th Street. The residents checked ok.

At 5:45 P.M., a caller requested a welfare check on a resident in the 100 block of Jefferson Street. The resident checked ok.

At 11:23 P.M., a resident in the 600 block of Mirabeau Street reported a suicidal female. The female was transported to the Greenfield Adena ER by Paint Creek Fire/EMS.

At 11:33 P.M., a resident in the 1000 block of North Washington Street requested extra patrol for the area.

January 12th, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 4:43 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop at McDonalds. The driver was warned for an equipment violation.

At 4:58 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Cameron Drive near Jefferson Street. The driver was warned for an equipment violation.

At 5:51 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North Washington Street near Jefferson Street the driver was warned for failure to obey a traffic control device and an equipment violation.

At 8:35 A.M., the SRO reported a water leak in the alley behind the ag building. The water department was advised.

At 10:53 A.M., a caller reported a parking complaint at the bike path near South Washington Street. Contact was made with the registered owner and advised to move the vehicle.

At 1:14 P.M., an individual reported threats/harassment.

At 1:44 P.M., an officer responded to the area of S. R. 28 near Collier Road for a disabled vehicle. The vehicle was moved from the roadway awaiting a wrecker service.

At 1:55 P.M., a caller in the 500 block of Mirabeau Street requested assistance unlocking their vehicle. An officer was unable to gain entry. Two females were transported to the police station, awaiting a ride.

At 8:15 P.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office requested an officer to respond to the area of S. R. 753 South approximately a half mile out of jurisdiction for a deer that had been struck by a motorist.

At 8:31 P.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of a 911-transfer reporting a vehicle with no taillights traveling on S. R. 41 North heading towards jurisdiction. An officer patrolled the area.

At 9:17 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop near the S. R. 28 East bridge. The driver, John Ralston, 28, Greenfield was cited for headlights required and expired registration.

January 13th, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 5:01 A.M., Chillicothe Fire and Security advised of a commercial burglar alarm activation at the Greenfield Elementary. The building was cleared and secured.

At 5:02 A.M., a resident in the 500 block of McKell Avenue reported criminal damage to their vehicle. This incident remains under investigation. The resident additionally requested extra patrol for the area.

At 7:12 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop at the Adena parking lot near South 6th Street. The driver was warned for expired registration. At the time of the stop the vehicle's registration was renewed.

At 9:43 A.M., a resident in the 700 block of South Street reported a civil complaint.

At 4:21 P.M., McDonalds reported a juvenile complaint involving a group of juveniles causing a disturbance. The juveniles later located and trespassed from the establishment.

At 5:20 P.M., the Hillsboro Police Department requested an officer to make contact with a resident in the 600 block of South Washington Street regarding a found wallet. The resident was advised.

At 7:52 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of McClain Avenue. The driver was warned for display of license plate.

At 8:00 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North Washington Street near Massie Street. The driver was warned for an equipment violation.

At 8:34 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North 8th Street near Spring Street. The driver was warned for an equipment violation.

At 8:57 P.M., while on patrol in the area of North 4th Street and Spring Street an officer located a box of groceries that appeared to have fallen from a vehicle. An officer was able to return the groceries to the resident in the 400 block of Edgewood Avenue.

At 9:36 P.M., an officer made contact with a known male in the 100 block of South 10th Street.

At 10:36 P.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office requested an officer to respond to an alarm activation in the 1300 block of S. R. 41. The property checked ok and the homeowner was contacted.

January 14th, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 3:24 A.M., the Ohio State Highway Patrol requested a welfare check on a resident in the 1100 block of Greenhills Drive. The resident checked ok.

At 5:46 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Jefferson Street near South 4th Street. The driver was warned for loud exhaust.

At 5:57 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North Washington Street near Lafayette Street. The driver was warned for an equipment violation.

At 8:57 A.M., an officer responded to the 100 block of Janice Street for a lift assist. Assistance was given.

At 12:09 P.M., a resident in the 300 block of North 4th Street reported a juvenile complaint involving an unruly juvenile.

At 1:44 P.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of a 911-transfer in the 400 block of North Street reporting an individual attempting to force entry into the residence. After investigation, it was determined the suspect left prior to arrival and was only banging on the door. No attempted entry was made into the residence.

At 2:01 P.M., a resident in the 300 block of North 4th Street reported a domestic complaint involving a 13-year-old male juvenile. The 13-year-old male juvenile was arrested for domestic violence.

At 4:50 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Jefferson Street near South 10th Street. The driver was warned for a moving violation.

At 5:10 P.M., the North End Mini Mart reported a male had stolen coffee from the establishment and was walking on Mill Street going up to various residences looking inside of windows. An officer located the male on Mill Street near North 5th Street. The male was advised of the soliciting ordinance.

At 11:19 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North Washington Street near Lafayette Street. The driver was warned for expired registration.

13-year-old male juvenile of Greenfield was arrested for domestic violence.


January 15th, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 12:34 A.M., Chillicothe Fire and Security advised of a commercial burglar alarm activation at the Greenfield Elementary School. The building was cleared and secured.

At 4:28 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Paint Street. The driver was warned for an obstructed license plate.

At 5:51 A.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of an automatic SOS detection from a residence in the 100 block of Pleasant Hill Drive. Everything checked ok.

At 6:16 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Jefferson Street near McDonalds. The driver was warned for failure to obey a traffic control device and an equipment violation.

At 10:44 A.M., a caller on S. R. 41 North reported being involved in a non-injury motor vehicle crash in front of Ferrell Gas. 

At 11:06 A.M., the Nationwide Children's Hospital reported a 10-month-old female resident being treated for marijuana ingestion. This incident remains under investigation.

At 1:58 P.M., a caller reported a civil complaint.

At 3:05 P.M., an individual reported being previously assaulted and requested an officer to respond to a residence in the 200 block of South Street to retrieve property. This incident remains under investigation.

At 4:50 P.M., a deputy with the Highland County Sheriff's Office transported a missing juvenile from Galia County to the police station. An officer supervised the juvenile while the deputy served papers to a residence on Sunshine Drive.

At 5:42 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Jefferson Street. After investigation, it was determined the driver was valid.

At 8:35 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North Washington Street near Legends Barbershop. The driver, Logan Smith, 20, Wilmington was cited for driving under non-compliance suspension and failure to use a turn signal.

At 9:31 P.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Jefferson Street. The driver was warned for an equipment violation.

At 10:09 P.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of a 911-transfer in the 13000 block of Hillcrest Drive reporting a motor vehicle crash. The caller further advised the male driver exited the car and walked away, Eastbound on Hillcrest Drive. Officers responded to the area and located the male and transported him back to the scene. After investigation, it was determined the crash was outside of Jurisdiction. The Highland County Sheriff's Office responded and took custody of the male.

Arrests/Citations

Logan Smith, 20, of Wilmington was cited for driving under non-compliance suspension and failure to use a turn signal.


January 16th, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 12:41 A.M., a resident in the 400 block South 4th Street reported a male had looked into his residence through his front door. An officer patrolled the area. The resident requested extra patrol for the area.

At 1:57 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Jefferson Street in front of Save A Lot. The driver was warned for a moving violation.

At 2:30 A.M., Chillicothe Fire and Security advised of commercial burglar alarm at the Greenfield Elementary. Everything checked ok and the building was secured.

At 6:03 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of South Washington Street. The driver was warned for an equipment violation.

At 6:10 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of South Washington Street. The driver was warned for a moving violation.

At 6:17 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of North Street. The driver was warned for moving violations.

At 4:21 P.M., a resident in the 400 block of McKell Avenue reported trespassing of a known female. After investigation, it was determined the female left prior to arrival.

At 4:30 P.M., a resident in the 600 block reported a juvenile complaint involving an unruly juvenile.

At 4:39 P.M., a resident in the 500 block of South Street reported trespassing. All parties were advised accordingly.

At 5:26 P.M., a resident in the 600 block of Mirabeau Street reported a disturbance. All parties were warned for disorderly conduct.

January 17th, 2026

Offenses/Incidents

At 1:17 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Jefferson Street. The driver, Keith Sowers, 54, Frankfort was cited for driving under suspension.

At 1:26 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North 2nd Street near Lafayette Street. The driver was warned for a headlight.

At 2:03 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Jefferson Street. The driver was warned for no headlights.

At 2:04 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North Washington Street near the North End Mini Mart. The driver was warned for speed.

At 2:40 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Spring Street. The driver was warned for an obstructed license plate.

At 3:40 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop at Save A Lot. The driver was warned for an obstructed license plate.

At 4:27 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North Washington Street near North Street. The driver was warned for an equipment violation.

At 4:44 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North Washington Street near North Street. The driver was warned for an equipment violation.

At 5:15 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North 2nd Street near North Street. The driver was warned for a moving violation.

At 5:37 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop in at Hearth and Care. The driver was warned for an equipment violation.

At 6:43 A.M., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Jefferson Street in front of the Community Savings Bank. The driver was warned for improper display of license plate.

At 8:40 A.M., a resident in the 100 block of Janice Street reported criminal mischief.

At 2:21 P.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of a 911 open line in the 600 block of Pine Street. Subjects were warned for misuse of the 911 system.

At 4:30 P.M., a caller in the area of South 5th Street near Waddell Street reported suspicious individuals. After investigation, it was determined the individuals had permission from the homeowner.

At 4:49 P.M., officers responded to a residence in the 800 block of South Washington Street to attempt to serve an arrest warrant on a wanted male. After investigation, it was determined the male briefly fled on foot and hid behind a residence in the 300 block of Oak Street. The male, William Webb III, 38, Greenfield was arrested on a local bench warrant for failure to appear.

At 6:50 P.M., a resident in the 1000 block of South 5th Street requested extra patrol for the area.

At 11:35 P.M., a caller in the 200 block of North 11th Street reported a fight. After investigation, Anthony Culwell, 28, Washington Court House was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication.

At 11:35 P.M., the Highland County Sheriff's Office advised of a male at the Greenfield Fraternal Order of Eagles shooting a firearm. After investigation, Michael Harr, 51, Kentucky was arrested for discharging a firearm.

Keith Sowers, 54, of Frankfort was cited for driving under suspension.

William Webb III, 38, of Greenfield was arrested on a local bench warrant for failure to appear.

Anthony Culwell, 28, of Washington Court House was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication.

Michael Harr, 51, of South Shore, Kentucky was arrested for discharging a firearm.
