A Greenfield man has been sentenced to four and a half years in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated meth trafficking charges.

Steven Williams, 28, was indicted by a Highland County grand jury in April on eight meth-related charges, including aggravated trafficking in methamphetamine in the vicinity of a juvenile, a second-degree felony; four counts of aggravated possession of methamphetamine, all third-degree felonies; and three counts of aggravated trafficking in methamphetamine, all third-degree felonies.

According to court records, Williams pleaded guilty May 31 to two counts of aggravated trafficking in meth, with the remaining six charges dismissed.

A bill of particulars alleged that on or about June 7, 2022, Williams sold 5.55 grams of meth to a confidential informant in Greenfield. In a separate incident, on or about June 10, Williams met with a confidential informant, again in Greenfield, and sold 8.67 grams of meth.

Highland County Common Pleas Court Judge Rocky Coss sentenced Williams to a definite determinate term of 30 months on the first count, consecutive to 24 months on the second charge, for a total of 54 months in prison. Williams was also ordered to pay restitution and court costs, according to court records.
