Governor DeWine issues reprieves

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine issued the following reprieves of execution:
• Keith LaMar, who was scheduled to be executed on Jan. 13, 2027. The new date of execution has been moved to Jan. 16, 2030.
• Scott Group, who was scheduled to be executed on Feb. 17, 2027. The new date of execution has been moved to Feb. 13, 2030.
• Davel Chinn, who was scheduled to be executed on March 18, 2027. The new date of execution has been moved to March 13, 2030.
Governor DeWine is issuing these reprieves due to ongoing problems involving the willingness of pharmaceutical suppliers to provide drugs to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC), pursuant to DRC protocol, without endangering other Ohioans.
