Frances Strickland entertains at Democratic Party picnic

Former Ohio first lady Frances Strickland entertained those in attendance at the 2012 Highland County Democratic Party's annual picnic on Sunday, Aug. 5 at the AmVets Park on North Shore Drive.

Strickland also was one of the event's guest speakers, along with Liz Brown, the daughter of U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown.

Local candidates in attendance included Peter Pence for 91st state representative; Gary Heaton for county treasurer; Brenda Losey for county commissioner; Randy Mustard for county commissioner; and Larry Burns for county recorder.
