First State Bank donates to HHS

First State Bank has made a $1,000 contribution to the future outdoor athletic complex at Hillsboro High School.

First State Bank President and CEO Mike Pell and Branch Manager Amy Schoultheis presented Hillsboro City Schools Superintendent Rick Earley with a check for $1,000 Friday morning at the construction site of the school's new track and soccer fields.

On behalf of the school district and the athletic department, Earley thanked First State Bank for its generous donation.

Also attending the check presentation ceremony were Hillsboro High School Principal Jason Snively and Hillsboro City Schools Board of Education members Bill Myers and Terry Britton.

First State Bank will be opening its newest location at 730 Harry Sauner Road in Hillsboro in early spring, according to CEO Mike Pell.
