Drugs, firearms seized at Chillicothe residence; 1 arrested
On Sept. 4, the Chillicothe Police Department, with assistance from the U.S. 23 Task Force, executed a drug search warrant on Mechanic Street.
During the search, officers allegedly seized 140 grams of cocaine, 22 grams of meth, 25 Ecstasy pills, two firearms, cash and additional evidence indicative of drug trafficking activities.
Benny Simpson, 54, of Chillicothe was arrested on two counts of possession of weapons while under disability. Additional felony drug charges are possible, pending lab results.
