DDN Report: Rosenberger owes back rent on luxury condo

The Dayton Daily News reports that 91st House District Rep. and House Speaker Cliff Rosenberger, a Clarksville Republican, has disclosed this week that he owes back rent on a downtown Columbus luxury condo owned by GOP donor Ginni Ragan.

Ragan is well known to Republican lawmakers as a top political donor to their campaigns: $154,467 in 2011, $195,044 in 2012, $160,766 in 2013, $473,525 in 2014, $165,740 in 2015, and $383,794 in 2016, the Dayton Daily News reported.
The annual financial disclosure statements filed this with the Joint Legislative Ethics Committee do not require dollar amounts attached to debts owed, the report said.
Rosenberger is currently serving his fourth term in the Ohio House of Representatives. He represents the 91st House District, which includes Clinton, Highland and Pike counties, and parts of Ross County.
Due to term limits, Rosenberger is serving his final two-year term. This week, he endorsed Clinton County resident Beth Ellis in her 2018 campaign for his seat.
“Beth Ellis is the ideal choice to continue the work I have done to move the 91st District forward,” Rosenberger said in a news release.
