Second District Congressman Brad Wenstrup and his wife, Monica, have announced the birth of their son, welcoming him into the world on Saturday, Nov. 9.

Brad Robert Wenstrup, Jr., weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces, and was born in Cincinnati. He is the couple’s first child.

"I can fully understand, even more than I did before, the need to not only protect and defend, but to nurture and provide for one that follows us," Congressman Wenstrup said.

"Monica and I have always felt called to try to leave the world at least a little better than we found it. Brad renews that commitment for us.”

Wenstrup will spend time with his family this week and resume his legislative responsibilities from home before returning to Washington.

The Wenstrup family will continue to reside in Southern Ohio.
