Clermont County man indicted on 37 counts following drug investigation

Mark Alan Ritter Jr., 47, of Clermont County was indicted March 12 on 37 counts after an investigation by the Clermont County Narcotics Task Force, which culminated with a search warrant executed at Ritter’s Union Township residence on May 9, 2023.

A Clermont County grand jury returned an indictment for Ritter on the following charges:

• 13 counts of trafficking in drugs;

• 13 counts of possession of drugs;

• Three counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs;

• Three counts of aggravated possession of drugs;

• One count of trafficking in LSD;

• One count of possession of LSD;

• One count of trafficking in harmful intoxicants;

• One count of abusing harmful intoxicants; and

• One count of promoting and encouraging drug abuse.

An indictment is merely a charge and is not evidence of guilt.
