Cincinnati Children’s will enhance its primary care options for local patients and families on April 13 with the addition of Springboro Pediatrics, which has enjoyed a working relationship with the health system for many years.

Established in 1993, Springboro Pediatrics now cares for 5,200 patients. Led by pediatrician Nalini Aggarwal, MD, the practice includes more than a dozen employees. Going forward, the practice will be known as Cincinnati Children’s Springboro Primary Care.

The move is part of a continuing effort by Cincinnati Children’s to provide primary care options for families across the region. Evaline Alessandrini, MD, chief operating officer, said that  adding Springboro Pediatrics fits with the nonprofit organization’s mission to provide excellent, equitable, value-based care while helping to improve the health of all children.

“Dr. Aggarwal and her team have strong, longitudinal relationships with the families they have served for over three decades, and we are delighted to welcome them,” Alessandrini said. “Cincinnati Children’s is recognized as one of the Top 10 pediatric health systems in the nation for specialty care, and the addition of Springboro Pediatrics helps ensure we are also  providing outstanding primary care close to home.”

Cincinnati Children’s Springboro Primary Care will remain at 8 Sycamore Creek Drive in Warren County. The practice will begin accepting new patients after it becomes part of Cincinnati Children’s on April 13.

“Families can rest assured that the trusted care they’ve always received at Springboro Pediatrics will continue,” Aggarwal said. “Our experienced staff will deliver the same high-quality, family-centered medical services. Same-day sick visits and Saturday hours will continue, while our focus on long-term relationships with patients and families remains unchanged.

“Joining the nation’s leading pediatric health system means the families we serve and our   providers will have access to additional medical specialists, advanced resources and extra support for staffing and operations,” Aggarwal said. “This change will help us better serve families and grow with the Springboro community.”

Aggarwal grew up in suburban Dayton and graduated from Northmont High School in 1991. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in combined science from Youngstown State University in 1993, Aggarwal earned a medical degree in 1997 from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in Rootstown, Ohio. She completed a residency in pediatrics at Akron Children’s Hospital in 2000, and since that year Aggarwal has been in private practice at Springboro Pediatrics.

Cincinnati Children’s also offers primary care in Anderson Township, Avondale, Batesville, Centerville, Cold Spring, Fairfield, Greensburg, Kenwood, Liberty Township, Loveland, Mason, North Fairmount, Southgate, Springdale, Union, Ky., and Wilmington as well as at three school-based health centers in the city of Cincinnati and another at New Richmond Schools.
