Chamber of Commerce celebrates 10 years of business with S&K Dairy Cup

"It doesn’t seem like 10 years have gone by since we bought our small business in Highland County," Karie Emery said this week. "Steve and I purchased the former Tastee Freeze from Bill Musser in 2007. We wanted to pursue our dream of owning a small business to show our four sons the life of an entrepreneur."
According to Karie, the family has been blessed to have Steve’s father, Chuck Emery of Sugar Tree Ridge, as the S&K Dairy Cup manager "since we are busy with boys’ sports schedules and our own full-time jobs."
Angie Smith is the assistant manager and does a great job making sure things run smoothly on a daily basis. The staff also includes a great young group of teens from several local high schools who work hard to provide anyone at the S&K Dairy Cup with the best customer service.
"We are fortunate to live and have a small business in Highland County and are able to provide wonderful food, golf, ice cream and a relaxing environment when you visit the S&K Dairy Cup," Karie said.
"Thanks to our wonderful customers for a great 10 years, and we look forward to serving you for another 10."
