Beverly Laubert sworn in as director of Department of Aging

Beverly Laubert was sworn in Monday as director of the Ohio Department of Aging by Governor John R. Kasich. Laubert has been serving as the department’s interim director.

Laubert has served in the Ohio Department of Aging for more than 20 years. As long-term care ombudsman, she has worked tirelessly as an advocate of Ohio’s long-term care consumers.

Laubert has a bachelor’s degree in gerontology from Kent State University and a master’s degree in public policy and management from the Ohio State University. She served for four years as president of the National Association of State Long-Term Care Ombudsman Programs.
