Batavia OSHP Post investigating two-vehicle fatal traffic crash

The Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatalvtraffic crash involving a car and a motorcycle. The crash occurred on Jan. 13 atbapproximately 4:13 p.m. on Chapel Road, near state Route 132, in Batavia Township,bClermont County

The preliminary investigation revealed a 1994 BMW K75RT motorcycle, operated by PaulbCreed, 37, Amelia, was traveling eastbound on Chapel Road. The motorcycle performed abpassing maneuver on an eastbound vehicle when it then struck a 2008 Saturn Astra operated by a juvenile driver, which was traveling westbound on Chapel Road.

Mr. Creed was not wearing a helmet, sustained fatal injuries, and was pronounced
deceased at the scene. The juvenile driver was wearing a seat belt, sustained non-life-
threatening injuries, and was transported to a local hospital.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted with this incident by the Central Joint Fire-
EMS District (CJFED), Clermont County Sheriff's Office, Clermont County Coroner's
Office, and Conner's Towing.

The crash remains under investigation.
