AEP poles destroyed during storm in Rainsboro Monday

AEP crews worked through the night on Monday and into Tuesday afternoon after five poles were destroyed in the Rainsboro area.

According to the AEP Ohio Facebook, “a quick but intense storm with high winds broke five poles” in the area on Monday evening, which led to “an outage for more than 700 customers.”

“Crews transferred as many customers to an alternate power source as our electrical system could safely manage,” according to the AEP Facebook.”

AEP crews worked “through the night clearing the roadway and setting new poles,” the post said.
