Evelyn Faye Everetts

Evelyn Faye Everetts, 82, of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at home.

Evelyn was born Jan. 24, 1941 in Adams County, the daughter of Earnest W. Wallace and Thelma G. (Whitley) May.

Evelyn graduated from Seaman High School in 1959. She graduated from business school in Cincinnati.

She married Donnie Everetts on Dec. 17, 1960. They shared their lives together for over 62 years. She was a homemaker and raised three daughters. She provided childcare in her home for numerous children over the years.

She attended May Hill Church of Christ, where she was baptized and gave her life to the Lord. In the past several years, she attended the Hillsboro Church of Christ, where she was a member.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, Donnie Everetts of Hillsboro; daughters, Donita Everetts of Hillsboro, Linda (Chuck) Chaney of Hillsboro and Cheryl Ison of Hillsboro; granddaughters, Michaela (Aaron) Rawlins of South Webster, Kyah Chaney of Hillsboro and Jayah Chaney of Hillsboro; great-grandchildren, Kaylin Rawlins and Caden Rawlins; and sisters-in-law, Ann Everetts of Hillsboro and Barbara Newman of Hillsboro.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, John Cline; and brothers-in-law, Dean Everetts and Larry Newman.

Services will be held Monday, July 10, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Alex Butler officiating. Interment will follow in Prospect Cemetery.

Friends may call Sunday, July 9, 2023 from 3-5 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hillsboro Church of Christ building fund, 155 W. Walnut St., Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
