Hillsboro High School announces February students of the month

Hillsboro High School has announced the following students of the month for February.
• Math Department: Mason Watson. Mason is a strong student who is always willing to work at improving his math skills. He asks great questions that help him and his classmates as he ensures his understanding of the content. It has been exciting to see him grow in understanding and maturity.
• English Department: Hailey Grandpre. Hailey is a hardworking, dedicated student. She consistently approaches her work with a positive attitude, treats others with respect and contributes to the classroom in thoughtful and meaningful ways. Hailey’s personable nature, gentle sense of humor and warm smile make her a joy to have in class.
• Science Department: Sidney Bayless. Sidney is the epitome of a chemistry student. She helps her fellow classmates and asks thoughtful questions that lead to great discussions. She is active in Science Club and works to promote science and learning in our school.
• Social Studies Department: Luke Harmon. Luke is fantastic to have in class. He works really hard and is kind and respectful. I really appreciate that I can count on Luke to offer up answers, questions and discussions in class.
• Electives: Riley Gallimore. Riley has been in Robotics for four years and has been a positive presence throughout that time. He is always respectful, quick to help others and brings a positive attitude to the team and program.
• Intervention Department: Eli Sanders. Eli has made great strides behaviorally in the last few months since transitioning to the high school. Eli is a pleasure to have in class, as well as bringing a great attitude and effort to the classroom.
• Agriculture/Industrial Arts Department: Camilyn Miller. Cami is always eager to learn and help out any way she can. Cami comes to class ready to learn and completes her work in a timely and thoughtful manner. She is always kind and respectful in class and to her peers. Cami has a great sense of humor and is a spectacular human being.
• Student Services: Jaxon Alexander. Jaxon is always eager to assist others when asked and cares deeply about making Hillsboro High School an engaging place to be.
