Hillsboro Great Oaks members attend FFA camp

Hillsboro FFA members who attended FFA camp.

Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA Chapter 

From June 26-30, members of the Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA Chapter attend Ohio FFA Camp at FFA Camp Muskingum. Members were divided into 12 groups with many other FFA members from various chapters across the state. 

At different times during the week campers were separated into groups based on age for leadership workshops. Members learned strategies for being a successful leader in life and the workforce. Many skills were learned through team bonding games throughout these workshops. Qualities such as cooperation, listening, teamwork, problem solving and resilience were highly taught.  

As valuable as these workshops can be, there is always time for fun at FFA camp. Throughout the week the members worked together, competed against other teams and shared meals together and learned lots about each other. While at camp attendees could shoot shotguns, rifles, archery and do axe throwing. There are also motorboats, paddle boards, kayaks and canoes that members could take out on the lake. To finish the week off there was a dance party that everyone attended.
