Fairfield FFA Chapter honors members at annual banquet

The Fairfield FFA Chapter held their 2026 FFA banquet on April 19.

The banquet started with a welcome from President Landry Teeters and was followed by an invocation from Chaplain Maddy Wiseman. All members and guests present enjoyed appetizers from Shoelaces Catering.

The Greenhand degree was awarded to 40 Greenhands; 28 members received their Chapter degree; while three members will receive their state degrees at the State Convention. The chapter presented three members who will receive the prestigious American degree at the National Convention later this year. 

Honorary chapter members were awarded, with both Ken and Evan Davis families and Quintin Baker being recognized by the chapter. 

Students were recognized for the following CDE contests: Soil Judging, Job interview, Animal Management, General Livestock Judging, Food Science, Public Speaking, Parliamentary Procedure, Ag Power, Wildlife, Poultry Evaluation, Dairy Products, Meat Evaluation, Floriculture, Vet Science, and Dog Grooming. 

Gold-rated officer books were also recognized with Emelia Roehm earning a Gold rating on her treasurer's book, Kaylee Hurless-Miller earning a Gold rating on her reporter’s book, and Evelyn Roehm earning a gold rating on her secretary’s book. They will all be recognized at the State Convention.

Proficiency awards were handed out for the following proficiencies: Swine Science Placement, Miley Caldwell; Swine Science Entrepreneurship, Maddy Wiseman; and Beef Production Entrepreneurship, Miley Caldwell.

Both fruit and strawberry sales were recognized for the top three sellers in both sales. 

Four-ear members were recognized as well as the seniors who participated in the senior work program.

Retiring addresses were made from seniors Evelyn Roehm, Emelia Roehm, Kenzi Ramsden and Maddy Wiseman.

Following the retiring addresses the newly elected officers were installed. The new officers are as follows: President Landry Teeters, Vice President Kaylee Hurless-Miller, Secretary Miley Caldwell, Treasurer Eloise Roehm, Reporter Avery Morrow, Student Adviser Andrew Benson, Sentinel Weston Baldwin and Historian  Ellie Humphrey.

The banquet concluded with closing ceremonies.
