Cassner Foundation 2026 scholarships recipients announced

The Cassner Foundation Scholarship was established by Mr. and Mrs. Alvin B. Cassner.
At least six $3,500 scholarships are awarded annually to Highland County high school seniors.
Scholarships are renewable for a four-year period upon evidence that a 2.0 average is maintained.
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic achievement, personal qualifications and stated goals and objectives.
The final applicants are interviewed by a 3 person screening committee before the committee awards the scholarships.
Students can receive information about the scholarship from their school counselor.
This year's recipients include:
Laura Barber, daughter of Brad and Angie Barber of Greenfield, graduated from McClain High School. She plans to attend Wright State University and major in mechanical engineering.
Becca Bergstrom, daughter of Blain and Cami Bergstrom of Greenfield, graduated from McClain High School. She plans to attend Ohio State University and major in biology.
Kyler Fite, son of Rusty and Karen Fite of Lynchburg, graduated from Lynchburg-Clay High School. He plans to attend John Carroll University and major in biology.
Marley Gobin, daughter of Christopher and Whitney Gobin of Hillsboro, graduated from Whiteoak High School. She plans to attend Cedarville University and major in biology (pre-optometry).
Matalyn Magee, daughter of Todd and Emily Magee of Hillsboro, graduated from Lynchburg-Clay High School. She plans to attend Bluffton University and major in biology and pre-med.
Rilee Quickle, daughter of Jeffrey and Rosa Quickle of Leesburg, graduated from Fairfield Local High School. She plans to attend Wilmington College and major in pre-pharmacy.
