Donia 'Becky' R. Freeman
Donia “Becky” R. Freeman, 85, of Washington Court House, formerly of Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 5, 202, at the Signature HealthCare of Fayette County.
She was born Oct. 15, 1937 in Montgomery, Ala., the daughter of the late Carl D. Jones and Eula (Spradlin) Jones Orr.
Becky was a graduate of LaGrange High School in Georgia, and soon after graduating she married the love of her life, Joseph “Joe” Freeman, on Feb. 11, 1956. She worked 25 years as an office manager for J.C. Penney, and she was a member of the Hillsboro AmVets Post 61. She enjoyed cooking and going to yard sales, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, sister and her beloved dogs.
Becky is survived by her three sons, Joseph (Debbie) Freeman of Florida, Jeff (Tammy) Freeman of Columbus and Jerry (Michele) Freeman of Columbus; a sister, Doris Biser of Columbus; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Joe” Freeman, on April 1, 2021; and two brothers, David Jones and Garland Jones.
A celebration of Becky’s life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
