Country Quilters report ‘huge success’ at annual quilt show

Country Quilters’ annual quilt show on July 14-15 was a huge success.
There were over 100 quilts entered into the Highland County Quilt Show. Entries included several quilts over 100 years old, as well as hand-stitched, machine-done and appliquéd quilts. The quality was totally outstanding.
The people’s choice winners were:
• Sally Davis, big quilt and also a machine-quilted one;
• Barb Peterson, hand-quilted, appliquéd entry; and
• Diana Stuckey, small quilt.
We are already planning for next year. Thanks to the community for supporting us.
