Clifford Ernest Latchford

Clifford Ernest Latchford, 87, of Sardinia, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023 at home in Sardinia.
 
He was born Aug. 16, 1935 in Stonelick, the son of the late Lewis Charles Latchford and Mary Jane Curless Latchford.
 
Clifford was a well-known boat repairman known as the "Boat Man" in the Rocky Fork Lake and Paint Creek Lake areas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and enjoyed being outdoors working.
 
Survivors are daughter, Mona (Rick) Eichhorn, daughter, Lisa (Gary) Hurst, son, John (Carol) Latchford, son, Ronald Latchford, daughter, Cherry Jackson, son, Simon Latchford, and son, Kenneth (Elizabeth) Latchford. Also surviving is his longtime companion and caregiver, Donna Swim; stepdaughter, Sherry (Tony) Bellamy; stepson, Brandon (Caitlin) Swim; 37 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
 
In addition to his parents, Clifford was preceded in death by three sons, Clifford Latchford, Jr., Charles Latchford and Mathew Latchford; and siblings, Earl, Albert, Betty and Doris.
 
Services will be held at Edgington Funeral Home, Mowrystown, Tuesday, Aug. 1 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Steve Krebsfanger officiating. Interment will follow in the Sardinia Cemetery.
 
Friends will be received at Edgington Funeral Home, Mowrystown, from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1.
