Board of Pharmacy publishes updated medical marijuana patient, caregiver numbers

The State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy Monday published updated patient & caregiver numbers for May 2023.

These numbers include:

• 756,044 recommendations;

• 370,287 registered patients;

• 22,039 patients with veteran status;

• 23,132 patients with indigent status;

• 1,336 patients with a terminal diagnosis;

• 174,591 patients with both an active registration and an active recommendation;

• 338,324 unique patients who purchased medical marijuana (as of April 30, as reported to OARRS by licensed dispensaries); and

• 35,569 registered caregivers.
