Betty Ann Brown
Betty Ann Brown, 67, of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
She was born May 6, 1956 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Henry Everett Brown and Maggie May Ames Brown.
Betty enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. In her neighborhood she was known as "Nana,” the Neighborhood Grandma. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are her three daughters, Contessa (James) Goodwin, Donita (Charles) Dunn and Elizabeth Huff; eight grandchildren, Skylare (Levi) Walker, Jonah (Malynnda) Gilbert, Adam Dunn, Cadence Setty, Haley Huff, Hannah Huff, Tiffany (Kaleb) Adams and James Goodwin II; nine great-grandchildren, Madilyn, Abigail, Tate, Vincent, Addison, Patrick, Zane, Emlee and Ezra; three siblings, Alice Fork, Jackie (Matt) Downing and Johnny (Theresa) Brown; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a sister, Stella Lhotka; and nephews, Gary and Bart Lhotka.
Services will be held Sunday, Sept. 3, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home with chaplain Veronica Grabill officiating. Following cremation, a burial service for her remains will be Thursday, Sept. 21 at 2 p.m. in the Sugar Grove Cemetery.
Friends will be received Sunday, Sept. 3, 2023 from 1-2 p.m. at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, followed by a gathering of friends and family in the Moyer Community Room in the City of Wilmington Municipal Building.
