Saturday was a championship day for Whiteoak senior Landen Eyre and the Lynchburg-Clay boys cross-country team, as Eyre became a four-time Southern Hills Athletic Conference champion, while the Mustangs won the team championship in boys competition.
On Oct. 2, the Fairfield FFA hosted its annual Farm Safety Day. The elementary students were invited down to the agriculture classrooms to visit the many exhibits and learn about safety.
With the busy and stressful times of harvest, Fairfield FFA members wanted to do something to help thank our local farmers for all they do. Fairfield FFA held their third annual Feed a Farmer event Oct. 8.
Tuesday evening after holding pregame ceremonies for their Volley for a Cure game, the Hillsboro Lady Indians hosted Fairfield, where the Lady Lions defeated the hosts in four sets.
The McClain Lady Tigers took a quick trip from Greenfield to Leesburg on Monday evening, and after trailing by a goal at halftime, they rallied to defeat the host Lady Lions by a 3-2 score at FHS on senior night.
The Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs are the Southern Hills Athletic Conference champions for a third consecutive season, winning Friday night at home against the Fairfield Lady Lions by a 4-0 score.
Still having one game left on their Southern Hills Athletic Conference schedule, the Fairfield Lady Lions have clinched the Division II volleyball championship, winning on Thursday night against the Ripley Lady Blue Jays.
