Fairfield middle school boys win Aaron Reed Memorial Invitational

The Fairfield Middle School boys cross-country team won the Aaron Reed Memorial Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 17 in Chillicothe.

Scoring for Fairfield were Klay Walker, who placed seventh out of 83 runners with a time of 13:09; Zach Schmitz, 10th, 13:28; Wyatt Evans, 15th, 13:53; Mason Cain, 16th, 13:57; and Trent Tate, 17th, 13:58.   

Also running for Fairfield were the following team members in order of finishing Saturday: Wyatt Harris, Trey Current, Kadyn Lamb, Dustin Huff, Logan Murphey, Kyle Anderson, Jesse Current, Danny Montgomery, Clayton Jacobs, Braden Heizer, Randy Lamme, CJ Durham-Tate and Bailee Willey.

The Fairfield Middle School girls were unable to field a team on Saturday. Carley Arnold placed 12th out of 73 runners with a time of 16:14. Macie Pauley was 13th with a time of 16:20, and Kaley Crum placed 35th with a time of 17:59.

The Fairfield boys junior high cross-country team captured the title at the Wilmington Cross Country Invitational held Tuesday, Sept. 13.   

Scoring for the Lions were: Zach Schmitz, 4th, 13:30; Klay Walker, 5th, 13:33; Trent Tate, 6th, 13:37; Mason Cain, 8th, 13:47; Wyatt Evans, 9th, 13:47.   

Also running for the team were: Wyatt Harris, 10th, 13:48; Trey Current, 18th, 15:06; Jesse Current, 19th, 15:23; Dustin Huff, 22nd, 15:52; Kayden Lamb, 27th, 16:39; Danny Montgomery, 28th, 16:40; Logan Murphey, 30th, 16:58; Clayton Jacobs, 32nd, 18:01; Keith Thompson, 33rd, 18:09; CJ Tate, 36th, 18:33; Randy Lamme, 39th, 19:09; Braydon Corzatt, 43rd, 20:04; Bailey Willey, 45th, 20:42; Braden Heizer, 47th, 20:54; Austin Bales, 53rd, 35:00.
 
The Fairfield girls junior high cross-country teams finished runner-up with 46 points to Wilmington, who scored 20 points.

Scoring for the team were: Macie Paulie, 7th, 16:41; Kara Walters, 9th, 17:02; Carley Arnold, 10th, 17:05; Kaylee Crum, 14th, 18:16 and Emily Smithson, 21st, 20:47.  Also scoring for Fairfield were: Camille Burgess, 23rd, 22:46 and Allysa Woleab, 27th, 24:53.[[In-content Ad]]
