McClain loses at home to Washington
The Friday night Frontier Athletic Conference showdown on Jan. 26 for the McClain Tigers and Washington Blue Lions resulted in the visiting Blue Lions winning on the road by a 55-34 score at MHS.
Washington led by three points after the first quarter at 13-10, and following a 15-6 second frame that was in favor of the Blue Lions, it was Washington leading the home team Tigers, 28-16 at halftime.
In the third quarter, the Tigers scored six points, and they added 12 points in the fourth quarter. Washington scored 12 points in the third quarter and 15 more points in the fourth frame.
Andrew Potts and Seth Weller were the leading scorers for MHS with 12 points each. Next for the Tigers were Michael Noszka Jr. with six points, Jordan Bell with two points and Riley Cummins with two points.
Garrett Rickman led the Blue Lions with 22 points.
The loss sends MHS to an overall record of 4-13, and they are 0-8 in the FAC. Washington improves to 11-2 overall and 6-1 in the FAC.
