Marsha Shoemaker

Marsha Shoemaker, 65, of Hillsboro, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 15, 2023 at her home.

She was born Feb. 20, 1958 in Dayton, the daughter of the late J.L. and Gertrude (Pelfrey) Jackson.

Marsha was a woman known for her love, kindness and patience, especially with her family. No matter how hard life would get, she looked at the good in it. Although life didn’t always allow the family to see each other as much as anyone would have liked, Marsha cherished all her family and the wonderful moments she would get to see them. She would always have a smile and arms open for a hug with a wonderful memory to look back on.

She is survived by her husband, Eldon L. Shoemaker II; two children, Joshua Lee (Zurisadai) Jackson of Maricopa, Ariz. and Jessica (Jeremy Sr.) Kemper of Hillsboro; six grandchildren, Jacob Jackson, Genesis Jackson, C.J. Kemper, Camden Kemper, Jeremy Kemper Jr. and Morgan Kemper; a sister, Sharon Smith of Hillsboro; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Sue Gool and Linda Hill.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation. The Turner & Son Funeral Home and Crematory in Hillsboro is serving the family.
