Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA Chapter

On October 29-31, the Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA Chapter traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana to attend the 98th annual National FFA Convention. On the way we stopped for a great tour at the Mullen Dairy and Creamery to get a closer look at the inner workings of a generational farm.

We then attended the opening session with guest speaker A’ric Jackson and ended the day with a fun-filled night at Dave and Busters.

On the second day, we got up bright and early to explore the Expo Center followed by a tour of the Lincoln Tech trade school. That night was the Buckeye Bash hosted by Kelsay Farms, one of the most anticipated events for Ohio FFA members where we all gathered for music, games, dancing and fun. On our final day we listened to the retiring address of National FFA Secretary Luke Jennings during the 4th General Session then went to the World's Toughest Rodeo for an exciting show before starting the bus ride home.

Thank you to all the advisors, chaperones, parents, and supporters who helped make this trip possible. We’re looking forward to next year and every year that follows.
