Hillsboro Police Report

On June 20 at approximately 6:18 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a report about a two-car accident on Park Avenue. Amanda J. Manning was backing out of a driveway and struck a parked car owned by Courtney T. Thompson of Hillsboro, causing non-functional damage. Manning's vehicle had no visible damage.

On June 21 at approximately 1:59 a.m., a Hillsboro police officer stopped Michael Harris for sitting through a green light on West Main Street. After approaching the car and giving a sobriety test, it was determined that Harris was driving under the influence and was placed under arrest. He was also charged with child endangering since a juvenile was in the vehicle.

At approximately 12:12 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a call from Wal-Mart Loss Prevention referring to shoplifting. Upon arrival, it was found that Andrea N. Gillman of Hillsboro had merchandise totaling $200 in value. Cody A. Head of Fairfield was also apprehended. Both were arrested for theft.

On June 21 at approximately 3:13 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received a call from Highland District Hospital that three subjects were removing scrap metal from the property without permission and were placing it in a green SUV. Upon arrival, the officer located the males. James E. Hall, 21, of Hillsboro, was arrested for theft. A juvenile was also arrested for theft.

Michael Wilbur James Harris, 24, of Batavia, DWI, failure to obey traffic control device, child endangerment.

James E. Hall, 21, of Hillsboro, theft.

Cody A. Head, 23, of Fairfield, theft.

Andrea W. Gillman, 19, of Hillsboro, theft.
