Family & Consumer Sciences project judging July 10

On Tuesday, July 10 all 4-H food and nutrition, clothing and textiles, health, child development, money management, genealogy, home furnishing, and creative arts projects will be judged at Southern State Community College in Hillsboro. Judging begins at 9 a.m.

Family & Consumer Sciences 4-H advisers will have complete judging schedules. All members should have received a judging schedule also. Club members with questions should check with their advisers or call the Highland County Extension Office at 937-393-1918.

If it is impossible for a member to attend judging, please call the Extension Office for an appointment to complete make-up judging on July 18.

Late projects will be graded, but are not eligible for outstanding awards. Judging will be done by qualified judges from different parts of Ohio.

4-H Style Revue and Awards Night

Are you looking for an exciting event? Come to the Southern State Community College Patriot Center for the 4-H Style Revue and Awards Night on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 6:30 p.m.

4-H members will be modeling their clothing outfits that were judged on July 10. This is always one of the highlights of the 4-H year. All Family & Consumer Sciences awards will be presented during the July 12 program. Food and nutrition, child care, home furnishings, etc. awards will be announced
first.

The top models will be chosen at the Style Revue on Saturday, Sept. 1 at 1 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Building during the fair. There will not be an awards program at the Highland County Fair for Family & Consumer Sciences projects.

So, if you want to see some excited, outstanding youth, come to our 4-H Style Revue and Awards Night on Thursday, July 12. Also, mark your calendar to see the Style Revue on Saturday, Sept. 1 at the Highland County Fair. All parents, friends, and interested people are invited to come and see our fine 4-H members and their projects.
